Looking For Great Events In New York City?
The thermometer seems to be intent on staying in the red and August promises more of the same! If you happen to be in New York City this summer, the hot temperatures won't spoil your plans, as the city has some amazing summer events in store. Your biggest challenge in New York City is trying to keep track of all the happenings and narrowing down your to-do list to just a few events.

NYC is probably the most colorful place one could ever live in or visit. All countries that are acknowledged by the United Nations have representatives in New York City. with attractions and happenings that showcase each country's finest attributes. Therefore, if there's something special that you are looking for, you are likely to find it in NYC. Even better, a few of the best New York City events will cost you nothing this summer. That's right, they are free. Some of these events are dancing classes in Prospect Park, outside movies at Bryant Park, art exhibits in Manhattan, and music in Central Park.

On top of the list of my choices for the 5 best summer events for you to take in this year, is Rent at Broadway, where you can catch a glimpse into the lives of some of the artists living in the East Village, as the show's cast brings the songs of this favorite show to life in Bryant Park. The second is Rooftop Films. For those of you who have ever watched a movie outside, you will find that this tops them all. Brooklyn has several showings in the area. SummerStage, which showcases some of the most popular attractions and acts in the country every Sunday during the Summer. New York Philharmonic performing live in all 5 boroughs, I saw the performance in Central Park and it was excellent. Of course, do not miss the US Tennis Open which is a must for all tennis fans!
